If we are not careful it is easy to miss our vocation and not be open to God’s call for each one of us. We could become like the man without the wedding garment at the wedding feast, who was unable to answer the King’s questions. (Matthew 22:1-14 Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time Year A)

Perhaps the wedding garment represents the opportunities, graces and inspiration which give us direction and assist us to know our true calling in life. It may also represent the opportunities and excuses we use not to follow Jesus’ call for us. Let us never give Jesus excuses not to follow him wholeheartedly.

Kind regards and God bless
