God has chosen for each of us a particular vocation and through our vocation we become his instruments.

St Paul could not have imagined what God had planned for him, how he turned from persecuting the Way, to becoming a faithful follower and disciple of Jesus Christ.

God calls all types of people even those who others believe are not suitable. Ananias believed Saul was not a good man.

Sometimes before we can discern our vocation we may need to convert our hearts, change our lives, fall in love with Christ and become his disciples.

The conversion of St Paul gives hope for those who are discerning their vocation and wondering what plan God has set for them. You may not receive a light from heaven but God will speak to you in some way, asking you to follow him in an extra ordinary vocation.
