We could easily spend the rest of our lives reflecting and putting into action the Gospel of Matthew 22:34-40, (Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time Year A), which calls us to love God with all our heart, soul and mind, and our neighbour as ourselves.

The continual challenge for us is how do we love God with all our heart, soul and mind and how do we love our neighbour as ourselves?

It is something we should be reflecting on all the time, even though our love is imperfect. Jesus’ call today is never to give up loving, and this is a very good starting point for men discerning their vocation.
