“To listen to the Lord, we must learn to contemplate, to perceive His constant presence in our lives; we have to stop and talk to Him, give Him space with prayer. “ (Homily given by Pope Francis for the feast of St Joseph the Worker, 1st May 2013)

These points which Our Holy Father Pope Francis makes are essential for men who are discerning their vocations and also for developing a deeper loving relationship with the Lord.

Pope Francis’ advice is something which we can learn and teach ourselves to do and practice, and also examine to see whether or not we are living it. It is often easy to perceive that we are too busy to do the following when in reality it is only a matter of priority.

The final piece of advice Our Holy Father makes for the feast of St Joseph the Worker is to pray the Rosary daily, which is key for men who are discerning their vocations to the Priesthood. Mary for sure will assist you to discover your vocation and make sure your prayers are answered.
