Zacchaeus may not have originally wanted to change his life and follow Jesus. Tuesday Thirty-Third Week in Ordinary Time Year II Luke 19:1-10. He may have only wanted to see Jesus, but he was curious and open to Jesus’ invitation.
He happily accepted Jesus into his home. He was so moved that he found himself changing his life and correcting the wrongs he had done. He became a true follower and disciple of Jesus Christ.
God may be calling us to a particular vocation though we may not be hearing his voice clearly and may be missing the signs.
To follow Jesus, we do need to get rid of the things that are in the way of allowing us to be free, and thus enable us to respond generously to God’s invitation to each of us.
Let us be like Zacchaeus today and allow the Lord Jesus in to our homes and our hearts.
Kind regards and God bless
