(31st Sunday in Ordinary time, Luke 19:1-10)

A vocation is always God’s initiative and it is up to us to respond or ignore God’s invitation. Hopefully all men as they discern their vocation will have a little of Zaachaeus in their hearts ready for the Lord.

The Lord’s invitation may be a challenge, it may be scary and it may be a part of the unknown. It is up to us to have a go and test our call and take the risk of beginning the journey of discovering God’s special plan for you, as Zaachaeus risked having Jesus in his home.

Maybe Jesus is continuously inviting himself into our lives and hearts and he is forward in doing so. It is up to us to respond and accept Jesus’ invitation.

Kind regards and God bless
