In the Gospel story of the father desperately wanting his son to be cured from the spirit of dumbness, he seeks help from Our Lord, asking him to help his little faith. The father may have had little faith but he still had enough faith to believe in Jesus’ power to help his faith and cure his son.  (Luke 9:14-29, Monday Seventh week in Ordinary time.)

We pray today that the Lord will increase our little faith, as we explore the possibility of a vocation to the Priesthood. It does take faith to discern ones vocation and hence we ask the Lord to increase our faith and to show us the way, enlighten our minds and hearts to doing his holy will.

It may be a simple prayer but it is a powerful prayer to say, “I do have faith. Help the little faith I have!” Try it!

Kind regards and God bless
