The Canaanite woman had great faith. Three times Jesus tested her. Firstly he ignored her cries for help. Then he said his mission was for the lost sheep of the House of Israel and finally he referred to her as the House-dogs (Matthew 15:21-28).

Seldom in the Scriptures do we hear of people of great faith. Usually it is about people with little faith as in the story of St Peter sinking into the water (Matthew 14:22-33).

It takes great faith to do risky things like considering a vocation to the Priesthood.

If we have little faith like St Peter, let us pray for more faith to be able to listen attentively to the Will of God, so we can discover the vocation he has for each one of us.

Kind regards and God bless.
